COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos Fire Department is reporting that the Omega Fire in Lo Alamos Canyon is 100 percent contained. Firefighters will remain scene with mop up activities for the next few hours.

The fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. today and was approximately four acres in size. It was located in Los Alamos Canyon near the Canyon Rim Trailhead on the eastern edge of Los Alamos. Twenty-five local firefighters were deployed to fight the fire.
