EDWARD RAUCHFUSS Jan. 28, 1930 – March 23, 2019

Ed was born to Marvel and Eugene Rauchfuss.

He graduated from Powell High School and was active on sports. During his youth he was a partner in his father’s bee business. He spent four years in the Air Force, stationed in Denver, Colorado where he met his wife Vera. The union brought forth three children.

Ed graduated from the University of Wyoming where he earned a BA in in teaching. He taught 4th grade in the Powell School System. He went on to graduate from the North Carolina College in 1967 with a MA in Audio Visual.

He was hired by Los Alamos Public School as the Audio Visual Director and continued to work there until he retired in 1991. Ed was a carpenter extraordinaire and love to create beautiful things with wood. Vera and he enjoyed sailing on Heron Lake and he attained his commodore status there. He was an active member of the White Rock Baptist Church.

He survived by his wife Vera, his three children and three grandchildren. He was an active member of the Los Alamos Senior Center. Instead of flowers please send to Los Alamos Senior, Visiting Nurse Program, or the charity of choice.

Memorial services will be held at the White Rock Baptist Church in White Rock, NM on Monday, May 13th at 10 AM followed by a reception with burial following at 2:15 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
