SANTA FE — The community is invited to the first live Spring Auction of museum-quality art works Friday evening, April 5 on the patio of the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art, at 750 Camino Lejo at Museum Hill in Santa Fe.

The event starts at 4:30 p.m., with cocktails and hor d’oeurves while viewing the objects d’art in the Museum’s Grand Sala. Preview hour followed by a live auction at 5:30 p.m., on the museum patio with auctioneer Russel Kloer.

The Live Auction will include a variety of antiquities to contemporary expressions including works by Traditional Spanish Market artists. Whether your interest is peaked by an 18th century painting of the Divine Shepherdess, or an oversized, contemporary Micaceous Wine Jug with a custom tin lid, this auction will have something to appeal to everyone.

The auction will consist of approximately 20 hand-picked items that range from furniture, jewelry, pottery, paintings, santos of many types, tinwork, to fine art sculpture. All auction proceeds will benefit the museum’s exhibition programs.

Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased at the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art, or by calling 505.982.2226.
