Los Alamos Rotarian Mike Katko On Writing Pursuits

In honor of Rotary International Literacy Month, Los Alamos Rotarian Mike Katko recently described his pursuits in writing and read from his book of poetry, Skies and Other Things, and introduced his forthcoming novel, Big Medicine, Pretty Water. Katko, who is the oldest of seven children, was born in Spain. He served in the Vietnam War; was a construction worker; owned the popular Los Alamos restaurant, Tony’s Pizzeria; and was a school teacher and principal for 17 years.
