Los Alamos High School NJROTC Cadets Place First Overall At Golden Anchor Drill Meet

Los Alamos High School NJROTC cadets placed first overall at the Golden Anchor Drill Meet Oct. 18 in Santa Fe. The meet was the first of the year for the cadets.
 
The drill teams placed second in Armed Regulation and third in Unarmed Exhibition. The Male Color Guard and Female Color Guard team both placed third. 
 
In the Armed Drill-Down event, Michael Purdy placed second, Rigel Baron placed fourth, David Murphy placed fifth and Jonathan Schueler placed seventh. In the Unarmed Drill-Down event, Tristan Graham placed sixth and Gianna Maggiore placed seventh.
 
The LAHS PT team members Rigel Baron, Stephanie Nielsen, John Valdiviez, and Michael Purdy placed first overall. Baron was overall male winner with a 6:01 mile, 72 push-ups and 109 sit-ups.
