Kiwanis and Los Alamos County Work Together for 4th of July Celebration - Gallery
The 4th of July celebration was planned and executed by the Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos and Los Alamos County. This year's fire works display was cancelled due to the extreme fire danger, but the celebration went on and included bouncy toys, food vendors, political candidates, music by the Nomads provided by Russ Gordon, Habanero Skydivers and patriotic music by the Community Winds. Free bus service was provided by Atomic City Transit. Many County departments participated to make the event a success, including Parks, Recreation, Fire, Police, Atomic City Transit and Public Works. The Kiwanis Club planned the event, coordinated vendors, interfaced with the County, maintained the fire works throughout the prior year and greeted attendees at the gates.
