Join PEEC For Family-Friendly Evening Tuesday

on April 7, 2019 - 3:30pm
PEEC News:

PEEC is hosting two free family-friendly events Tuesday, April 9 at the Los Alamos Nature Center.

A PEEC educator will lead a Family Star Party at 5:30 p.m. in the planetarium and introduce kids to constellations, planets and more in an informal setting. Families also are invited to join Melissa Mackey 6-7 p.m. for Family Night to enjoy making a unique craft in the classroom.

No registration is required for either event and families are invited to come to one or both of these offerings. Family Nights are free thanks to generous sponsorship from the Los Alamos Kiwanis Club.

The nature center also is open until 8 p.m. Tuesdays and families are welcome to enjoy the exhibits and play areas throughout the evening.

Family Star Parties and Family Nights are the second Tuesday of each month.

Community members who would like to support PEEC’s Family Star Parties, join New Mexico Bank & Trust for a Shred Day 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27 from PEEC’s Earth Day Festival. Stop by the branch at 1475 Central Ave. and bring up to two boxes or 50 pounds of paper to shred. It is free to participate in the Shred Day, but New Mexico Bank & Trust will be accepting donations to support PEEC’s Family Star Parties.
