On The Job In Los Alamos: Transferring Film At PAC 8

on February 8, 2019 - 9:01am

On the job in Los Alamos is volunteer Bob Dryja transferring movies on film to digital media Thursday afternoon at the PAC 8 studio at 20th Street and Central Avenue. Dryja has volunteered at PAC 8 for about three years and said he mainly digitizes old films. Most of the content he receives is ‘classic family home movies’ although he occasionally sees someone’s vacation footage. Dryja also volunteers at other organizations including the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce and leads programs at the Valles Caldera National Preserve. ‘My observation is in this town there’s such a variety of things to do … all sorts of things to get involved in,’ he said. #worklosalamos #wherediscoveriesaremade.
