FBI: $1,000 Reward In Albuquerque Bank Robbery

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are looking for a man who robbed a northwest Albuquerque bank Friday, Sept. 20, 2019.
 
The robbery occurred at Bank of the West, 4221 San Mateo Blvd., at approximately 12:40 p.m.
 
The suspect is described as a Native American or Hispanic male in his 30s, approximately 5'10” to 6' tall, with a slim build. He wore a dark baseball cap, a dark t-shirt with horizontal stripes, and dark pants. He carried a dark backpack.
 
The suspect walked into the bank and presented a demand note to a teller, who handed over an undisclosed amount of money. He was seen walking north through the bank’s parking lot.
 
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
