DPU News:

Power was restored within 20 minutes to most Department of Public Utilities’ customers affected by the downtown electric outage that began just after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

An underground electric line was hit during construction resulting in an outage along Trinity Drive between Levy Lane at the Century Link Building and DP Road; it also included some businesses on Nectar Street and 15th Street.

Department of Public Utilities electric line crews were able to isolate the damaged line and restore power by 1:20 p.m. to most customers. Businesses on Knecht Street remained without power until about 5:05 p.m. as DPU crews made repairs to restore power.
