LAAC News:

Countdown to the Guinness World Record of “Most People Carving Pumpkins Simultaneously!” is on!

The big event begins immediately at 2:45 p.m.  Saturday, Oct. 26 in downtown, Los Alamos.

As of Thursday, Sept. 19, there are only 37 days before the event.  Ticket sales are first come, first served!

Tickets are available for purchase now in person at CB FOX, 1735 Central Ave. for $5 (cash or check). Tickets also may be purchased online for $7 on the Arts Council’s website:

To ensure the goal of 1,300 pumpkins carved simultaneously is met, Los Alamos Arts Council, which is organizing the event, strongly recommends that participants be at least 10 years old.

All participants must carve their own pumpkin for at least five minutes (must carve for more than 5 minutes!) into a traditional Halloween Jack O’ Lantern design with eyes, nose and mouth. The work will be verified when completed.

Visit the LAAC website for more information about participating, updates and ticket sales. Also Facebook and Instagram: #1300pumpkinparty.
