Council Tables Land Grant Decision Until October

on August 30, 2019 - 8:43am

A long line of citizens wait their turn Tuesday night at the Los Alamos County Council meeting to weigh in on the potential grant of six County-owned parcels of land on 20th Street to TNJLA, LLC. The Albuquerque-based company proposes to build an extended stay hotel as well as a conference center on the 2.6 acres of land. After several hours of discussion, council voted unanamiously to table the issue until its Oct. 1 meeting. This will allow more time for public feedback on the project and several councilors felt the plans for parking for the hotel and conference center needed to be further addressed.
