Council Chambers Receiving New Artwork

Council approved 6-0 (Steve Girrens was absent) the expenditure of Arts in Public Places Funds in an amount not to exceed $45,000 for the installation in Council Chambers of the Ceramic Mural 'Valle Grande and Jemez River' plus the purchase and installation of two new side panel extensions by artist Sam Tubiolo. Council also approved 6-0 the expenditure of Art in Public Places funds in an amount not to exceed $5,000 to purchase the Secundino Sandoval painting 'Forgiveness' plus re-framing and matting to coordinate it with Secundino Sandoval's 'Good Success' painting already in the Public Art Collection.
