The Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the new location of Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service with a ribbon cutting noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17. The new location is 109 Central Park Square, between to UPEX and Lou Santoro State Farm Insurance Agency.

Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service moved to its new location the weekend of Aug. 10 and opened for business Aug. 12. They are ecstatic to be more accessible and more centrally located to meet the needs of the community and surrounding communities.

Los Alamos Visiting Nurses have been around since 1973, and continue to strive to give the best possible quality care to their patients and offer support to their families. They are happy to partner with local business such as Nambe drugs who they use as their pharmacy.

They strive to work closely with their patients and physicians to provide continuity of care. LAVNS provides hospice services, skilled nursing care to all ages, physical therapy, home health aide to assist with bathing and showering, medical social worker services, and chaplain services for hospice patients. They also have a new user friendly website:

Ribbon cuttings are a benefit of being a Los Alamos Chamber Member. For more information about Chamber membership, visit or call Ryn Herrmann at 505.661.4807.
