on February 13, 2015 - 9:49am

BSM News:

Arctic climate change scientist Cathy Wilson of Los Alamos National Laboratory's Earth System Observations Group, Francesca Samsel of the Applied Computer Science Group, visual artist and research associate at the Center for Agile Technology at University of Texas, Austin and Bradbury Science Museum Director Linda Deck talk about methods they are using to help the public understand climate change research in a special lecture at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the Bradbury Science Museum downtown.

The talk is free and open to the public and introduces “Climate Prisms,” the latest addition to the museum's environment exhibit.

The “Climate Prisms” project intends to the reinvent the way the public processes climate change data. Using art, poetry, images, videos and  scientific presentations, users will gain a better understanding of complex data that can otherwise be difficult to interpret.
