Atomic Man Duathlon Race In White Rock Sept. 21

LATC News:

The Los Alamos Triatomics Club invites athletes to participate in the Atomic Man Duathlon race Saturday Sept. 21 in White Rock. 

 
The race features two events:
  • The Little Boy (4K run, 12K Bike,  4K run); and
  • The Fat Man (5K run, 40K bike, 10K run).
 
The event starts from the Pinon Elementary School parking lot in White Rock. The runs are in the La Senda neighborhood of White Rock with gorgeous views of the Sangre de Cristos and Jemez mountains. The bike rides go out on N.M. 4 toward Bandelier National Monument and back.
 
Participants must be 13 years or older. Relay teams of two people are welcome. There will be overall 1st and 2nd place awards for male and female participants in each race as well as age group medals.
 
This year a portion of the proceeds from Atomic Man Duathlon race will go toward supporting underprivileged high school cross country teams in Northern New Mexico. Participants have the option of donating additional amounts while registering. Los Alamos Triatomics is a 501c3 organization and any donation amount excluding registration fees are tax deductible.
