Century Bank News:

Century Bank recently began construction on its first Los Alamos branch. The branch, at 751 Trinity Dr. Suite 301 in the Smith’s Marketplace Shopping Center, is expected to open in late summer.

The office will have an urban, modern feeling to it and feature Universal Bankers for personalized client needs. Office staff will provide a wide variety of financial products and services for personal or business use.

“Everyone at Century Bank is so excited to be expanding into the Los Alamos Market. We’ve been interested in Los Alamos for several years as it is a natural extension of our footprint,” said Jeff Szabat, senior vice president/retail manager at Century Bank. “We look forward to taking care of the people and businesses in a special way that only a Local Community Bank can do. We are proud of our personalized and friendly service as well as our support of many non-profits. We invite all to experience Century Bank.”

Clients will enjoy the convenience of free Wi-Fi service as well as a “data bar” where clients can utilize charging stations, drink coffee and transact bank or other business using their mobile devices, he said. The office includes a large conference room that will be available for community organizations and non-profit groups to use for meeting space.

On site, clients will have the ability to meet with Commercial Bankers and Century Trust and Asset Management representatives. The office will be a full-service bank offering deposit products, online and mobile banking, treasury and cash management, wire services, foreign currency services, personal and business loans, trust and investments and wealth management.

“Our firm was pleased to assist Century Bank with designing their new branch office in Los Alamos,” said Doug Patterson of Living Design Group Architects, the architect for the project. “Century Bank, as one of our State’s few remaining local banks, is leading the way in re-imagining the bank experience in terms of customer service.”

Further detailing the design, Patterson said, “No lines, no tellers, but rather an open communal space with a cafe like experience and open pods for one on one banking needs. A light, clean and comfortable design within an industrial like shell space will break the mold for branch banks.”

General contractor for the Los Alamos branch office is Robert Sanchez of R & M Construction in Espanola.

“R and M Construction is excited to work with Century Bank on the construction of the new Los Alamos Branch. We have been a satisfied Century Bank customer for several years and know the community will embrace this great financial institution,” Sanchez said.
