Road Construction Update: June 29:

Please note the below information is based on a schedule provided by the contractors and may change due to weather or other delays.

Western Area Improvements Phase 3:

Weather permitting, crews will begin paving 42nd Street (north) on Monday, June 29. Access will be restricted 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Flagging operations along Sandia Drive will be in effect for construction equipment access. Residents are asked to park on the north side (west bound lane) of Sandia Drive during work hours.  Please be cautious when walking near the construction zone. Crew members will be available to escort residents through the work zone. Upon completion of the work and favorable weather, 42nd Street (north) is scheduled to reopen to traffic Wednesday, July 1.

Utility work on 44th Street (north) and 42nd Street (south) is ongoing. Both streets are currently closed, but available for resident use only.

On Saturday, June 27 at 7 a.m. through Sunday, June 28 at 7 a.m., 40th Street (University Drive) will be closed from the roundabout to UNM-LA parking lot for placement and curing of an asphalt seal coat.

Electric Line Replacement at 39th Street and Trinity

Beginning early next week, electric crews will be replacing an underground electric line on the north side of Trinity at 39th Street. Excavation will begin behind the sidewalk and continue west, crossing 39th Street. Pedestrians will be routed around the construction area. Vehicular traffic on Trinity will not be impacted. However, at various times throughout the week, vehicular traffic on 39th Street will be restricted.
