Eastern Area 2 Concrete, Paving & Utility Project – Phase 2

Canyon Road is closed to through traffic between 9^th Street and 15^th Street. Local motorists can expect daytime flagging operations in this area with minor delays. Two-way traffic will be restored in the evenings and weekends when work is not occurring.

The contractor will begin removal of sidewalk, curb, and gutter on the west side of Canyon Road, leaving the concrete intact on the east side of the road for pedestrian use.

Mesa Public Library Safety Improvements

The contractor will begin mobilization Monday, April 29. The roadway in front of the library will be closed between the two library parking lots. Handicapped parking access is available from Bathtub Row. Pedestrians are urged to use the provided pedestrian pathways and to watch for construction activity.

Upcoming Construction: Western Area Phase 1

This project includes pavement rehabilitation on 41^st, 42^nd, 43^rd, and 44^th Streets off Trinity, including concrete replacement and reconstruction of the sidewalk paths from the above streets to the Western Area Park. Council award of construction is scheduled for April 30, with an estimated start of construction by mid-May.
