Another student from the WEB Crew at Los Alamos Middle School, Elise Chavez, is working on a community project and hopes to get the community’s support.
The eighth grader is hoping for mostly new items, although gently used are welcome. Donation items can be for dogs or cats and include; food, treats, hygiene items and toys.

Chavez, along with best buddy Brianna Fryer work together day in and day out as students, friends and now fundraisers.

“Brianna is always kind and I can trust her,” Chavez said.
Collections will go through Friday, April 13 at the Los Alamos and White Rock Youth Activity Centers, as well as the Betty Ehart Senior Center and White Rock Senior Center.
“It is always exciting to see youth driven efforts to help others,” said Youth Activity Center Director Jordan Redmond. “We are glad to partner with this initiative and hope it is wildly successful!”
