Community Members Needed For LALT Work Party

LALT News:

Los Alamos Little Theatre invites all interested community members to attend a work party 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, as theatre members undertake projects to spruce up and maintain the building and grounds of the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St., where LALT productions are performed.

LALT manages the Performing Arts Center under a license agreement with Los Alamos County and is responsible for general maintenance of the facility.

In addition to general yard and building maintenance, a couple of the major undertakings for this work party are to winnow and organize the props and furniture collections of LALT.

“As a community theatre, LALT depends on the support of its members and other community volunteers,” LALT President Paul Lewis said. “This is a great opportunity for anyone who has interest in the theatre and who would like to meet LALT members and get an idea of the various ways in which people can contribute.”

The work party is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and volunteers can drop by for as little or as much of the event as they have time for. They also are welcome to drop by and meet LALT members and see the theatre and some of its behind-the-scenes areas. Refreshments will be provided.

LALT is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that has been producing theatrical productions for the enjoyment of Los Alamos and Northern New Mexico residents since 1943.
