Community Members Meet Sheriff Lucero Saturday

At Saturday’s ‘Meet Sheriff Lucero’ event at the Los Alamos Sheriff’s Posse Lodge, 650 North Mesa Road, Los Alamos County Sheriff Marco Lucero speaks to community members and members of his re-election committee. ‘Being the first sheriff in Los Alamos County to have graduated from the New Mexico State Law Enforcement Academy, I have raised awareness of the positive benefits of having a sheriff that is an accessible, committed peace officer,’ Lucero said. ‘Having retired from 22 years of service with the Santa Fe County Sheriffs’ Office, I understand and believe in the importance of having an elected law enforcement officer who is accountable to the people.’ Photo by Carol A.
