Community Members Asked To Help Local Dogs And Cats During National Betty White Challenge Monday

Monday would have been beloved actress and animal lover Betty White’s 100th birthday. She died Dec. 31. There is a movement sweeping the nation to honor her life on Monday: The Betty White Challenge, a social media challenge that encourages fans to donate to their local animal shelter. The Los Alamos Animal Shelter at 226 East Road is always in need of canned dog and cat food. Monetary donations may be made out to ‘For the Animals’ a local (501c3), and mailed to PO Box 160, Los Alamos NM 87544. One hundred persent of the money raised will go directly to the card of the dogs and cats at the Los Alamos Animal Shelter. Direct questions to Jib Bennet at 505.661.0701.
