The community is invited to join County Councilor David Izraelevitz for his Campaign Kickoff Party and Benefit to Support Assets in Action’s “March on Hunger.”
The event is 5:30-7 p.m., April 1 at Fuller Lodge.
“I am inviting you to a gathering to celebrate the kickoff of my campaign for County Council,” Izraelevitz said. “Yeah, I know it’s April Fools Day and feel free to be prepared with jokes. We will have good free food and give attendees an opportunity to visit with me and other members of the community. I look forward to seeing old friends and acquaintances and meeting anyone from the Community who would like to drop by and I welcome your questions and concerns.”
Izraelevitz asks those who attend to help out the Los Alamos Assets in Action “March on Hunger.”
“It may seem surprising in our community that there are children who go hungry, but some regularly do,” he said. “To combat that, the Assets in Action Program has been directing a March on Hunger program all last month. To help complete their campaign, I ask everyone attending to bring lunch and snack items like granola bars, fruit snacks, soup and oatmeal cups and any other quality snacks that can be handed out to kids at the schools. Or you can just drop off a money donation.”
