A Community Forum on Global Health will be presented by Richard Skolnik of White Rock, 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10 at Unitarian Church of Los Alamos, 1738 North Sage St.

Skolnik will explain why Global Health is so important, citing health, social, economic and ethical reasons. He will use examples from COVID to highlight why people should care more now about Global Health than before. He also will offer suggestions about measures that concerned people can take to ensure that more people in more countries can be as healthy as possible.

About Richard Skolnik

Skolnik is the former Director for Health, Nutrition, and Population for South Asia at the World Bank. He  was a Lecturer in Global Health at the George Washington University and Yale University. Skolnik also was the Executive Director of a Harvard AIDS treatment program for three countries in Africa. He is the Instructor for the Yale University Course Essentials of Global Health and the author of Global Health 101.
