COUNTY News:
Tuesday March 12, Los Alamos County Council will hear a presentation on the Community Broadband Network project; a last-mile, open-access, fiber optic network project under consideration by Los Alamos County.
The project team will focus the presentation on the business plan and its recommendations, including a proposed increase in gross receipts tax to finance the project.
Digital copies of the presentation and handouts are available at the Los Alamos County Council website under the Agenda and Minutes section.
In addition, an Open Forum is available at www.losalamosnm.us for citizens to post a statement and/or opinion about the project. The Open Forum link can be found next to the “Sunshine” icon.
The County Council Work Session begins at 7pm and will be held at Fire Station #3 in White Rock, NM.
The work session will be broadcast live on KRSN AM 1490.
