Community Bids Farewell To Rex And Dawn Kilburn

The community bid farewell to Dawn and Rex Kilburn at a party Wednesday at Trinity on the Hill. Rex taught fifth and sixth grade at Pinon Elementary School, then became assistant principal at Los Alamos Middle School where he later became prinicipal for the last six years. Dawn is the registrar of the Los Alamos Pre-School Program. Rex is pictured here with Assistant Principal Anna Vargas-Gutierrez. Los Alamos Middle School staff provided refreshments and the LAMS PTO furnished the cake at the Farewell Party. “From the first moment it was like I was home,” Kilburn told the group of his experiences in Los Alamos. “It’s not goodbye, it’s until we meet again,” one co-worker said.
