EUROPE 2015 News:

Los Alamos High School students participating in Europe 2015 are selling their well-loved Fair Trade, organic coffee and Holiday crafts again.

Europe 2015 travelers had a successful sale last Saturday at Breakfast with Santa and will be having their annual Holiday Craft and Coffee Sale in the lobby of Los Alamos National Bank 1:30-5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16.

If you are looking for holiday gifts, please stop by LANB and support the education tour of Europe next summer for these 14 amazing high school seniors. Over the past few weeks, travelers have used their artistic talent to make beautiful holidays crafts. Stop by LANB to purchase lovely ornaments, candles, picture frames, and treats, as well as Fair Trade, organic coffee.

Even the artwork on the coffee label was created by travelers! Steven Calhoun drew the Colliseum and Alexi Ortega did the Europe 2015 lettering. Europe 2015 can create personalized jewelry for you while you finish your banking.

As with past tours, the goal of Europe 2015 is to expand the world view of Los Alamos’ young adults and help them develop global skills before they head off to college. Funds raised through the Craft and Coffee Sale will cover some of the tour costs for famous historical sites such as the Roman Colliseum, Pompeii, the Acropolis, and more.

For more information about their tour of Italy and Greece, visit http://www.eftours.com/1514310ke.

The group has already sold nearly 200 bags of coffee and raised over $1,000 to help defer some of the costs. If you cannot make it to Thursday or Tuesday’s Craft and Coffee Sale but would like to purchase coffee, contact Lynn Ovaska at lynnovaska@gmail.com. Coffee is $13 for a 10 oz. bag, whole bean or ground, in French Roast, Dark Roast, Medium Roast, and Decaf.

To make a direct donation to the group, contact Lynn Ovaska or send a check “Europe 2015” directly to Los Alamos National Bank.
