I’m a junior at Los Alamos High School. My dream job would be to fund raise for Make-A-Wish Foundation, a program that helps grant wishes to children with terminal illnesses. Then I heard about a program within Make-A-Wish called Kids for Wish Kids. It is aimed at students, and gives us the opportunity to fundraise for other children who are suffering from cancer and other terminal illnesses.
As soon as I heard about it, I got in contact with the director of Kids for Wish Kids New Mexico and she has given me the opportunity to fundraise. Paper stars are now being sold at Daniel’s Café (any amount of donations is welcome). I am also organizing a co-ed volleyball tournament with the amazing help of the Los Alamos Volleyball Club, starting at 9 a.m. this Saturday, March 19 at the LAHS Griffith Gymnasium.
Please come and bring your team and play for a wish, or you can also stop by and make a donation during the tournament. Thank you so much for supporting us.
