Co+opRocks! 7-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 at the Teen Center
Music and art based event for teens.The evening kicks off with improv by the High School Theater Department, followed by local musicians including Sonji, Ryan Van Cleave, Matt Tapia, Nathan Lindsey, Michelangelo Lobato, Kile Uhlenbrock and Cody Ulibarri. Recycled art projects and a historical hands-on loom are free art activities available during Co+opRocks! The art activities are provided by Fuller Lodge Art Center, the Historical Society and the Los Alamos Co+op Market.

Next Big Idea Festival 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sep. 14
Family-friendly event, highlighting Los Alamos’ unique, creative and scientific heritage. It is designed to inspire, illuminate and educate through science, technology, arts, food and music. And, its FREE!

Fest at Central Park Square Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sep. 14
Located on the green near the Main Street round about, the fest features beer & wine from Marble Brewery, Blue Corn Brewery, and Don Quixote Distillery & Winery set to the music of Higher Ground and also the Surf Lords. New to the events this year is a dunk tank set to dunk local celebrities and familiar faces for the purpose of raising money for next year’s STEM Student Day.

Monday Sept. 16

Hiking Los Alamos 102 – PEEC Plant Hike 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16
Meet at PEEC to carpool to the Ski Hill. Chick Keller will lead a Plant Hike on September 16. During this session, participants will hike from the Ski Hill to Cañada Bonito-about 2 miles, and will be able to see many late summer flowers including purple gentians.
