CHURCH News:
Pastor Steve Bublitz of the Christian Church wants you to think about the joyous greeting a dog gives you after a hard day at work or school, the unconditional love you feel and wants you to know that God loves you the same. It is that unconditional love that is a highlight of the second annual Pet Palooza, June 12-14.
“Having a pet allows us to fulfill that need to serve others,” Bublitz said. “We have joy when we spend time with and serve our pets.”
While your pets might have to stay at home for this event, Pastor Partin and his congregation welcome community families and children with unconditional love 6-8 p.m. for FREE fun, no membership or registration required.
The church at 95 East Road will host the fun June 12, 13 and 14, celebrating different animals each night. Families are welcome to attend just one or all three as they host fun activities, stories, crafts, snacks, balloon animals and more.
The first night is a tribute to farm animals, the second is wildly fun with wild animal night and good old Fido and Fifi take center court on the final night with pet or domestic animals night. Parents, grandparents, other care givers or adults with children visiting them this summer are welcome to attend anytime June 12-14.
“All families in the community with young children are welcome,” Pastor Bublitz said. “You don’t have to be a member of the church to come and there is no need to register to experience this festival!”
The church also will host a section dedicated to community resources. The opportunity to reach out, highlight services and allow conversation to unfold and to make connections is all available in the community participants section. The adults are welcome to stroll through the community participants area and see what resources are available, in and around the community.
