Children Paint WR Rock For Nat’l Domestic Violence Month

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and several children gathered today to paint the White Rock rock to draw attention to this important issue. The Los Alamos Police Department reports that domestic violence is prevalent in every community, including Los Alamos. One in three women and one in four men in the U.S. have experienced some form of physical violence. There are options available to victims of abuse. All services are confidential, and victims are not required to have a police report with law enforcement. Reach the Victim Assistant at 505.663.3511. Courtesy/LAPD
