Cheryl Vigil is the new branch manager of Enterprise Bank & Trust in White Rock.

Vigil was born and raised in New Mexico and is an enrolled tribal member from Nambe Pueblo.

“I have also raised my beautiful and wonderful daughter here on the Nambe Pueblo,” Vigil said.

Vigil has been employed with Enterprise Bank & Trust for nearly a year. She was first hired as an assistant manager at the Santa Fe Downtown Branch. When White Rock’s former Branch Manager Linda Martinez married and left in July, Vigil was brought onboard as her replacement.

“It always pleases me when we are able to promote from within,” said Liddie Martinez, Regional President for Enterprise Bank & Trust. “Part of our commitment to our local communities is to provide employment with advancement opportunities and meaningful careers for our associates. Cheryl is a welcomed new leader in our Enterprise family.”

Vigil has been working at the Enterprise branch in White Rock for just a few months but said that she really enjoys it.

“The people of the community here in White Rock have all been friendly and welcoming,” Vigil said. “Throughout this whole COVID-19 pandemic it has been a great challenge. Having our lobby doors closed and trying to function out of just one area has been challenging … and not only for the bank but also for our clients. I really appreciate the patience, understanding and cooperation that our clients have shown us.”

Prior to working for Enterprise, she worked for the Pueblo of Pojoaque as a cage supervisor at both Cities of Gold Casino and Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino. She describes being a manager at Enterprise Bank as a great opportunity.

“I’m learning and growing with the company and this is a great experience,” she said. “It definitely has its challenges, but that won’t get me down. All the more reason to work harder.”

Vigil spoke of the reasons she enjoys her work so much.

“The best part of my job I would have to say is just having the opportunity to work with a great team as well as helping our clients with all their banking needs along the way,” Vigil said.

Enterprise Bank & Trust is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
