Chart 263: COVID-19 In New Mexico Dec. 2, 2020

The state of New Mexico announced today the COVID-19 map with county risk designations applicable for the two-week period Dec 2-15 (link). New Mexico’s ‘Red to Green’ system consists of two gating criteria: (1) Average daily cases below 8 per 100,000 residents, and (2) test positivity rate below 5 percent. The ‘Red to Green’ has three risk designations: (a) RED, none of the gating criteria are met, (b) YELLOW, one gating criteria met, (c) GREEN, both gating criteria are met. Los Alamos County, with average daily cases of 21 per 100,000 people and test positivity of 6 percent moved from YELLOW to RED. San Miguel County with average daily cases of 32 per 100,000 people and test positivity rate of 5 percent moved from RED to YELLOW. Source: New Mexico Department of Health. Map: mapchart.net.
