The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the grand openings of two non-profits in Los Alamos next week:
- Dec. 7 at 6 p.m., Los Alamos Community Foundation; and
- Dec. 8 at 4 p.m., Bradbury Science Museum Association.
The Los Alamos Community Foundation ribbon cutting is during Business After Hours at Los Alamos National Bank. The Community Foundation offices are on the upper floor of LANB, which is a controlled access area, and so the ribbon cutting will be celebrated in the lobby of the bank. Business After Hours is 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 and the ribbon cutting is tentatively scheduled to take place at 6 p.m.
The Bradbury Science Museum gift shop “Gadgets” ribbon cutting is 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 inside the Bradbury Science Museum. Prior to the formation of the Bradbury Science Museum Association, tourists were unable to purchase merchandise with the Bradbury Science Museum logo on it. The BSMA will operate Gadgets inside the museum and carry T-shirts, ball caps, mugs, thumb drives, books and other items.
The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce is a program of Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation; a private, not-for-profit economic and community development organization serving the Los Alamos area since 1983. LACDC serves as the umbrella organization for the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce, Los Alamos MainStreet, the Los Alamos Meeting & Visitors Bureau, Los Alamos Small Business Center, project Y Cowork Los Alamos, Launch Los Alamos and the Los Alamos Research Park.
