Chamber Business Members Honor Bill Enloe

Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce Manager Katy Korkos hosted Saturday’s event. She said that the Chamber owes a debt of gratitude to Bill Enloe, who led Los Alamos National Bank for some 40 years, as president, then CEO. In 1978, Enloe, who had been an employee for only seven years (his first job right out of college), became president of LANB. He has been honored many times, by his peers and by his community, for his good works and for his leadership. ‘Joan Duran and I were talking as we planned this banquet several months ago, and we decided that all of the honors Bill has received were not sufficient to show him our gratitude,’ Korkos said. ‘Tonight we would like to say thank you to Bill for his support of the Chamber and of our businesses. I’d like everyone who has ever worked with Bill or plead your case or had Bill agree to support your favorite nonprofit initiative to please stand up.’ … a request that brought nearly the entire room to its feet.
