Celebration of Life:

Mel Chaney’s family and friends invite the community to join them to honor and remember a life well lived. COVID has delayed the planning of this gathering for over a year, but many community members worked and played with Mel and the family would like to personally thank them for being a big part of his life. 

Many in the El Rancho and Los Alamos Communities were important to him. The family would like to hear their stories, thank them for their friendship and support, and also for keeping an eye on him in his last years. He loved living here and didn’t want to leave. So many contributed to his love of this special place where he lived and worked.

Mel relished potlucks, so please bring a favorite dish or pie. That being said, full hearts were his favorite recipe, so don’t hesitate to come regardless. The family will have enough food and drink for everyone to have a good time.

Please take a few minutes to send a remembrance. The family would like to share them with others, but friends can also ask that their remembrance to be kept between them and the family.
