Celebration of Coach Jiri Kubicek’s Career June 5

Los Alamos soccer enthusiasts, friends, and families are invited to celebrate Jiri Kubicek’s contributions to Los Alamos Soccer. The party will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 5 at Rover Park in White Rock. Bring a side dish to share: veggies, fruit salad, appetizers or dessert. Beverages, cake and some BBQ will be provided.

Coach Kubicek retired from coaching Los Alamos High School (LAHS) Girls Varsity Soccer (1991-2013 with a record of 332-143) and Boys JV Soccer (1983-1991). Coach Kubicek also coached for, and has served in leadership roles, in Los Alamos Youth Soccer League since 1981.

Kubicek was named the 2010 Top Small Schools Coach by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and the 2003 LAHS Coach of the Year, among many of his achievements and awards.
