We are incredibly proud to have built a life and a small business here in Los Alamos, and we are thrilled to celebrate our 30th anniversary as a business. We can say that we have lived more than half of our lives in this wonderful town.

When we first arrived in Los Alamos, we wanted to open a copy store and after our first year in business we decided to stay and be one of the town’s main copy stores. After becoming the definitive local copy store, we chose to put down roots – not just for the opportunity to build this business, but because we fell completely in love with the community and its beautiful surroundings.

Over the last three decades, Aspen Copies has given us the chance to establish our lives and business, when we weren’t sure if we could, and then Los Alamos became our forever home. We bought a home right here in town and raised our daughter in this wonderful town. We have made so many friends over the years, have seen my daughter’s classmates grow into young adults – some of whom even came to work for us. We really enjoyed meeting people from all over the world.

We welcomed new people to town and cried when dear friends moved away to their next adventures. We have also stood by the community in times of grief, losing people we knew for many years, but each one of them holds a very special place in our hearts.

For us, the best part of this journey hasn’t just been greeting and helping customers; it has been truly getting to know each person. We have listened to countless personal stories firsthand, some of them are so amazing that they left us wanting to know more. We have served and helped people who have lived here their whole lives, those who are new to the town, and ones that are just visiting.

Every day, I feel that we have grown into something much more than a copy store. Aspen Copies is more than just printing, banners, office supplies and shipping; we are a community fixture offering a human and personal touch.

Every time a customer walks through our doors, we do our best to welcome each one with a smile, give you sufficient time to explain your project, and treat your needs with the utmost care: whether we are helping you put together a meaningful memorial or making birthday invitations. We will always ensure your work is completed on time, with the highest quality, and at a better cost than the big box stores off the hill.

We want to thank our loyal customers for recognizing our unique store, that the original, fast, and affordable service you’ve trusted for three decades is found only at Aspen Copies (located at 1907 Central Ave). We’ve been through so much together over these 30 years, from local fires to economic recessions. But thanks to your loyalty, we are not going anywhere—in fact, we are officially aiming for our 35-year anniversary next! To keep serving you best, we are bringing in exciting new retail items and fresh stock.
