ChamberFest News:

The community is invited to join in the annual ChamberFest fun and celebrate small businesses and organizations with live music, food vendors with lots of festivities for the kids!

Sponsored by Enterprise Bank & Trust and Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Community Partnerships Office, ChamberFest is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, June 3 slong Central Avenue. The sand pile, a ChamberFest favorite tradition, will be in the middle of Central Avenue for the kids to enjoy!

A few of today’s highlights:

  • The Chamber will celebrate the Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service (LAVNS) 50th anniversary with a ribbon cutting at noon at 109 Central Park Square. During the past 50 years, LAVNS has become a trusted name in the healthcare industry, thanks to its dedicated staff and commitment to patient care. The organization has grown from a small team of nurses to a full-service home healthcare agency with a wide range of services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • The Master Gardeners will be holding their annual plant sale, 9 a.m. to noon at the Demonstration Garden pergola area, selling perennials, vegetables and indoor plants.
  • The Los Alamos Farmers Market kicks off their first Saturday market 8 a.m. to noon at the Judicial Building parking lot.
  • COMPA Industries is sponsoring three dog pools at the Central Park Square lawn (the grassy area near Boese Bros Brewpub and the Long Pour), for crowd-friendly furry friends to enjoy! (Be sure to clean up after pets!). Speaking of furry friends, be sure to visit Pet Pangaea, LLC while at ChamberFest to sample the dog treat taste testing, as well as the dog wine tasting.
  • Also on the lawn, Del Norte Credit Union will sponsor the big blow-up slide for the kids to enjoy for free! EXIT Realty will be sponsoring the free bouncy house, and is raffling off a PS5! Other fun-house attractions will also be set up, and can be enjoyed, but are ticketed.
  • Check out the latest local coffee roaster, H-Bar Coffee. Graduates of the Los Alamos Business  Accelerator program, Ted and Alexis Holby are both local scientists who roast small batch beans to order!
  • While strolling ChamberFest, enjoy the cool sounds of the Los Alamos Jazz Project from 10 a.m. to noon, and the community favorite Los Alamos Hill Stompers Marching Band noon to 2 p.m..
  • Pop into the participating downtown businesses and visit the street fair booths of other Los Alamos businesses and non-profit organizations to play ChamberFest Bingo for a chance to win two tickets for opening night premiere of the Oppenheimer movie at SALA Event Center, compliments of Allan Saenz and SALA, as well as some Oppenheimer swag!

Thank you to Los Alamos Transit Mix and Enterprise Bank & Trust for continuing to make the ChamberFest Sand Pile a great tradition! ChamberFest would not be the same without it! Thank you to Central Park Square for helping to host ChamberFest this year and thank you to all the businesses and organizations that are taking the time to come and participate in the Los Alamos Street Fair.
