“Experts in Living Well” is this year’s slogan for National Senior Center Month, which will be celebrated 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at the White Rock Senior Center (WRSC), 137 Longview Dr.

WRSC’s celebration takes the form of a Senior Services Fair, which will have representatives from companies such as: Bee Hive Homes, Comfort Keepers, Decades Case Management, Haven Behavioral Senior Care, Home Instead, Kingston Residence Center and Los Alamos Visiting Nurses.

Non-profit organizations, with a focus on seniors, such as Aspen Ridge and Sombrillo, RSVP, the Day Out Program at the Betty Ehart Senior Center, Senior Olympics and the White Rock Public Library will also have fun and informational booths.

WRSC members will be demonstrating their favorite dance and exercise activities in the adjacent Los Alamos County Activity Building. Low impact aerobics, Zumba Gold, line and tap dancing and massage will be demonstrated.  A schedule of times will be available.

The public is invited to learn something about all of the many services available to seniors in Los Alamos County.
