Celebrate National Library Week and Poetry Month

 

MPL News:

Celebrate National Library Week and National Poetry Month at local libraries this month.

The public is invited to the following events:

  • 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 18 in the Upstairs Rotunda, the Library will host a Poetry Potluck. April is National Poetry Month and Mesa Public Library will be hosting a fun and informal open mic night. Bring poems and a food item to share at the poetry potluck.

  • 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at White Rock Town Hall,  Family Friendly Film Series presents Rise of the Guardians  .

  • Celebrate National Library Week all week long, April 14-20.  Come on by Mesa or White Rock or check out the Facebook page for details and giveaways.

  • 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25 in the Upstairs Rotunda, join the Library in celebrating Earth Day (albeit a bit late!) with David Grant Noble, featured guest of the  Authors Speak Series.
