VCNP News:
JEMEZ SPRINGS – The National Park Service is celebrating National Park Week April 20 through April 28. The theme for Sunday, April 28 is Arts in Parks and Valles Caldera National Preserve (VCNP) is hosting some special activities to help foster one’s inner artist.
The community is invited to join a ranger at 10 a.m. for a landscape photography workshop, 11 a.m. for a haiku workshop and 1 p.m. for a spring crafting activity.
Everyone is also invited to come out and create some art in the park. You may just happen across another artist in the process. If you do create some art, please stop by and show off your work with a ranger.
“With such majestic beauty and nature on display, Valles Caldera is a wonderful place for artists of every medium to come and find inspiration,” Superintendent Jorge Silva-Bañuelos said. “We hope to see a lot of artists come out to Valles Caldera and continue the adding to the region’s rich artistic history.”
