Letter To The Editor: No More Tennis Courts At Urban

I certainly hope the county doesn’t proceed with the proposal to add more tennis courts at Urban Park. That area is used for so many more activities and the courts are one of the least used spaces there so I don’t see tennis courts as a priority.
 
In addition, there isn’t enough parking for larger events. As it is now, many thoughtless people use the parking spaces in front of residents’ homes instead of those adjacent to the park. This results in residents having to find space sometimes blocks away from their homes; a very trying

Please understand that this is a personal statement from a school board member and does not constitute an official communiqué from the school board, but I cannot write another public commentary that is “business as usual” without first offering my sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Arleigh Huff.

Los Alamos Police Investigations And Patrol Divisions Build Case; Apprehend Suspected Thieves

LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and Patrol Division have been investigating several Check Fraud, Identity Theft, Theft, Forgery, Fraudulent Use of Credit Card cases over the past month. 

LAPD Investigators began putting together a profile that all the cases were linked and identified the potential suspects through their investigative effort. Then on Saturday, Aug. 27, the LAPD Dayshift Patrol “A-team” apprehended the suspects on a traffic stop.

Los Alamos Man Dies Near Roundabout This Morning

LAPD News:

Los Alamos police responded to the unattended death of a 48-year-old Los Alamos man this morning near the roundabout on Diamond Drive.

A passerby noticed the body of the bicyclist and called police.

Police said that they do not suspect the death was caused by a vehicle accident or foul play. They are withholding the name of the deceased pending notification of relatives. Read More
