2020 Knights Of Columbus Free Throw Competition Today!

All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship.

The local competition is 1-3 p.m. today, Feb. 2 in Griffith Gymnasium at Los Alamos High School. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. today onsite and is free of charge.

Parental consent is required, so a parent/guardian must be present during registration.

Mogul skier Stephen Boone of Los Alamos began his 2019/2020 Rocky Mountain Freestyle Season Dec. 21 at an event in Winter Park, Colo., where he finished 1st in his age class (U15) and 11th overall (U13-U19).

Toppers Defeat Moriarty Pintos In District Opener

The Toppers started district play with a big win over the Moriarty Pintos in Griffith Gym Thursday night. After a slow start the coach, Benito Maestas, called a time out and that changed the game for the Toppers who came out and played the best game they have put together this season winning 70-48. The Toppers dominated the game with an aggressive offense and a strong defense. They scored from all over the court with 8-3’s and converting most of their free-throws. On defense the Toppers blocked shots, stole the ball and caused turnovers which took the Pintos out of the game. Every player was a contributor. Read More

Topper Girls Basketball Garners 10th Straight Win!

The Topper Girls basketball team won its 10th game in a row in a hard fought game against the Moriarty Lady Pintos Tuesday night in Griffith Gym. The Toppers trailed the entire game due to the fast pace offense and stiff defense of the Pinto’s until the closing seconds of the 4th quarter. The Toppers scored a basket to take the game into overtime and 4-minutes later the Toppers managed to pull off the victory 58-54. New Mexico State University Chancellor Dan Arvizu ’73 and President John Floros invite the community to reconnect with other Aggies and state legislators.
