Cat Adoption Fees Waived At Santa Fe Animal Shelter

SANTA FE ANIMAL SHELTER News:

With the recent success of “Free the Shelter” earlier this month, the Santa Fe Animal Shelter has announced that they will waive the adoption fee on all cats, five months and older, and offer 50 percent off the adoption fee for kittens through the end of May.

Santa Fe Animal Shelter, northern New Mexico’s only and largest open-admission, no-kill shelter, will hold its “Cat Fee Waived Adoption Event” at 100 Caja del Rio, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Thursday, May 31.

“Truly there is no love like unconditional love of a shelter pet, and we have many kitties looking for their second chance at a new home,” said Murad Kirdar, public relations officer of the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. “We are so excited to partner with Petfinder Foundation for this event and we hope the community takes advantage of this opportunity.”

The “Cat Fee Waived Adoption Event” event is only happening at the Shelter and will not be available at the mobile adoption offsite locations.

All the animals that are adoptable include spayed or neutered, microchipping and age appropriate vaccinations.

Santa Fe Animal Shelter will be closed to the public on Memorial Day.
