Zia Realty Group welcomes its newest broker – Carla Brewer.
Brewer was born in Albuquerque but has spent most of her life in Los Alamos. She is the oldest of six children. Her parents, Fred and Theresa Cornwell are retired but spent several years as owner/operators of Cornwell’s Gallery here in town and still reside in Los Alamos.
Brewer worked for Cabbell Abstract and Title Company after high school. She graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with BS in business and home economics and worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 35 years in positions ranging from HR generalist to office administrator and protocol specialist.
While at LANL, Brewer chaired the women’s working group and was very involved in woman’s issues. Mid-career, she left the Lab and opened a women’s clothing store, Impressions. She also co-owned Brewer Enterprises, a small engine repair shop and wind chime producer.
She has three grown sons, Dustin, Christopher and Travis. She enjoys long walks, sewing, stitchery, jigsaw puzzles and garage sales.
Brewer has now taken up a new passion – real estate. She would like to invite her many friends that she has made as a long-time resident of Los Alamos to reach out to her for help in all of their home buying and selling needs. Carla can be reached at 505.412.1848 or Carla@ziarealtygroup.com.
