Can’t Breathe Right? The Latest On Treating Asthma And COPD Overlap

The Los Alamos Heart Council is hosting its 2016 Heart Health Month Seminar at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 23 at the First Baptist Church of Los Alamos, 2200 Diamond Dr.

Dr. James Sussman, a popular location physician with Allergy Partners of NM, will be addressing the overlap of Asthma and COPD illnesses that affect millions around the country, including many patients right here in Los Alamos. If you or someone you know or care for has Asthma – COPD Overlap Syndrome, this seminar is a must see.

Dr. Sussman received his medical training in Philadelphia and is board certified in internal medicine, clinical immunology and allergy. He arrived in Los Alamos in 1992 to practice, joining Allergy Partners of NM in 2006. Besides his patients in Los Alamos and Santa Fe, Dr. Sussman is an associate clinic professor at UNM School of Medicine and on the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

The annual seminar examines an area of interest in heart and general health. The Heart Council provides a complimentary dinner to all attendees. Health Care Professionals qualify for 1.5 hours of Continuing Education Credit.*

The seminar this year begins at 5:30 p.m. with a complimentary dinner with the seminar to follow immediately afterward. In order to insure a complimentary dinner is provided, please preregistration by Feb. 19, however, anyone is encouraged to attend the seminar.
