State Corporate Tax Rate Reductions A Growing Trend

WASHINGTON, D.C.  As 2017 gets underway, four states–including New Mexico–and the District of Columbia will phase in cuts to their respective corporate income tax rates. New Mexico’s rate will go from 6.6 percent to 6.2 percent.
 
In 2018, the rate will settle at 5.9 percent, down from 7.6 percent in 2013. The rate cuts were paired with a broadening of the tax base by reducing the generosity of some corporate tax credits.

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are still looking for an unknown man who robbed a northeast Albuquerque bank Dec. 26, 2014.
 
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 30 years old and 5’10” with a medium build and a short beard. He wore a black beanie, a green sweatshirt, blue jeans, and sunglasses.

Last week Boomerang in downtown Los Alamos received six tubs of LEGOs from a wonderful community member. Each tub contained many partially built LEGO sets ranging from Star Wars to Teen Aged Mutant Ninja Turtles, and everything in between.

Owner Anna Dillane was stumped as to how to know if the sets were complete or even what they were. Luckily, a customer had a solution. She suggested that her almost 12-year-old son Jack Ammerman might be interested in helping. Read More

Man Wearing Albuquerque Dukes Baseball Cap Tries To Rob Albuquerque Bank

FBI News:

A man wearing a black Albuquerque Dukes baseball cap tried to rob a northeast Albuquerque bank Tuesday and fled in a black Chevy Malibu.

The suspect is described as a white male, possibly Hispanic, in his late 20s, and approximately 5’6″ to 5’9″ tall, with a slender build. He had a short beard. He wore a black baseball cap with a blue Dukes logo, a black sweatshirt, baggy black pants and eyeglasses.
