Creativity and the entrepreneurial spirit flowed through the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce’ s annual Marketing and Promotions Fair held inside the Coffee House Café at 723 Central Ave. Wednesday.

Theone-stop shop provided a venue for all Chamber members to find out more about how to promote their business and non-profit organizations.

Calling All Entrepreneuers and Other Interested Parties

The Los Alamos Entrepreneurs’ Network (LAEN) is meeting at 6 p.m. today at the Hive in White Rock.

Executive Director Kevin Holsapple of the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce will give a presentation to LAEN explaining membership benefits.

New Restaurant to Replace Central Avenue Grill

The Los Alamos Daily Post has just learned that longtime local business leader Denise Lane is taking over the location of Central Avenue Grill.

“I will be opening a new restaurant in this location this summer,” Lane said.

The fate of Central Avenue Grill has been in question for several months since owners Min Sung Park and Sohyank (Monica) Park declared bankruptcy last August in U.S. Federal Court in Albuquerque.

The Park’s have been operating Central Avenue Grill, 1789 Central Ave., as well as their Osaka Grill and Seafood restaurant

We just returned from a very successful site visit. We were there to determine if the necessary ingredients were in place for us to build a successful new multi-use, sustainable community within the downtown, and more specifically, the downtown Creative District.

Two Forums Packed with Information and Resources for LANL Employees Eligible for Voluntary Separation Set for Thursday

UNM-LA SBDC News:

The UNM- Los Alamos Small Business Development Center is hosting two community forums this week to provide LANL employees eligible for voluntary separation with information about opportunities and resources available to them. 

Both forums take place on Thursday, March 15:

  • The first forum will is noon–1 p.m., in conference room #202A at the Los Alamos Research Park, 4200 West Jemez Road.
  • The second forum is 5:30-6:30 p.m. at The Hive, 134 State Road 4 in White Rock.

The forums will include representatives from organizations with resources available to help scientists

Violation Forces Central Avenue Grill to Temporarily Suspend Alcohol Sales

An alcohol compliance sweep by agents from the Special Investigations Division (SID) of the Department of Public Safety resulted in two local violations.
